We Thank you for sharing your awesome children with us!

Core Values:

  • Developmentally Appropriate education
  • Holistic care, support, and education of every child
  • Quality Christ-centered education and care
  • Partnering with parents and caregivers
  • Partnering with schools and community organizations

Vision:

Our desire is to provide a high-quality preschool in DeKalb County that is focused on the education and support of the whole child. Our focus is on developmentally healthy, appropriate, and effective approaches. It is essential that we consider the emotional, physical, academic and social development of the child. Being a church, we will also address the spiritual development of the child in a developmentally appropriate way that is consistent with our Christian values but not intolerant of others.

Philosophy:

St.Mark’s Early Learners embraces the rich philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori who believed in a child’s own natural desire to learn. She believed that young children have a universal ability to absorb knowledge from their surroundings just by living. She also understoof that a child’s mind is most receptive during these early years and that each child learns and grows at individual rates.

In order to be calm and happy, we believe children need to explore and discover. Our Montessori environment both inside and outside; allow the child to move, touch, manipulate and investigate. Our trained teachers use unique Montessori materials to create an atmospere where they can feel secure and respected. Our learners are allowed to test themselves, take initiative and grow independently.
